10 Times Wrestling Recklessly Abused Kayfabe On-Air

To call Randy Orton's behaviour unpredictable would something of an understatement, with WWE attempting to foster his rather complex attitude problems into the model version of a 'superstar built from the ground up', as John Bradshaw Layfield incessantly chirps on about.

Guilty of a host of backstage misdemeanours, 'The Viper' has let his frayed temper get the better of him under WWE's bright lights on more than one occasion, but his most infamous tantrum came at the conclusion of a Triple Threat match with John Cena and Kofi Kingston.

Battling for a shot at Sheamus' WWE Title, Cena was engaged with Orton's Legacy subordinate Cody Rhodes, leaving Randy and Kofi alone to resume a conflict that had almost elevated Kingston to the upper echelon before Orton's senseless victory at December's TLC pay-per-view.

With Cena displaced, Kofi performed his trademark leap onto Orton in the corner, but completed his 10-punch attack before Ted Dibiase has interfered, forcing them to unconvincingly redo the spot and slightly undermine the eventual Dibiase intervention.

Orton was visibly livid. Shoving Kingston to the ground, he callously pawed at him before RKOing him and audibly screaming 'STUPID' in his face before forgetting to celebrate the victory in anger. Incandescent with rage, he screamed 'STUPID, GODF**KINGDAMN IT' again on camera before the shot finally shifted to a confused WWE Champion Sheamus, who was stationed on the ramp observing the entire charade.
