10 Times Wrestling Ruined What You Loved
7. Happy Memories Of The Undertaker
Wrestling never stops and nor - due to a significant loyalty to Vince McMahon - does The Undertaker.
'The Deadman' has proven more of a divisive figure in recent years thanks to a lot of people reappraising some of his work and a series of ill-advised remarks about the state of locker rooms in the modern era. But even if you're the person that can block out all of that, it's been hard to avoid some fairly rotten in-ring displays.
Undertaker himself knows it and has said as much on various Peacock specials and the like, and it's the reason he kept working despite loads of his latter matches going wrong. He constantly believed there was a classic around the corner and he just had to find it, be it in Saudi Arabia for a hideous and hideously large sum, on a b-show pay-per-view (the Extreme Rules tag match was the match after all) or on a pandemic-stricken WrestleMania card.
He got there eventually, but the journey did much to damage a legacy people long thought indestructible.
