10 Times WWE Absolutely Nailed A Wrestler's Presentation
6. Aleister Black
Black's time in WWE has been rather hit and miss. He had a solid NXT run, but his current position on the main roster has disappointed many fans, though WWE at least got it right on how they were presenting him prior to the music change.
The former Tommy End debuted in NXT with an incredible theme song. Root of all Evil was heavy and grungy, but involved choral singing, which gave Black an almost ritualistic vibe that felt dark and occult. These same vibes were reflected in his attire, as he would stride to the ring wearing some incredibly well-designed vests, with bones and general gothic detail that could have come across as cheap, but never did.
Finally, the decision to make the star rise from lying on his back to standing gave him this completely indulgent and macabre vibe, as it made him appear to rise from the dead. All of this packaged together made Aleister incredibly unique on the roster.
This strong presentation would continue into his run on the main brands, with the addition of suits to capture something new, and while his replacement theme song pales in comparison to his first, it still reflects the vibe of the wrestler.
