10 Times WWE Absolutely Nailed A Wrestler's Presentation
2. Shinsuke Nakamura
Transitioning the King of STrong Style to a western setting was something that could have gone disastrously for WWE. Still, it is safe to say that while many of his feuds and opportunities have been lacklustre, his presentation has been nothing short of outstanding.
When Nakamura's first song - The Rising Sun - started playing at NXT TakeOver Dallas, it was an instant hit, as the slow build-up made fans eagerly anticipate the King of Strong Style's first appearance. The titantron graphics had a similar appeal, with some great looking details that built to a sudden black screen with the massive name Shinsuke Nakamura written in bold red lettering. From this darkness would emerge, Nakamura, in all of his glory.
WWE did a fantastic job with this wrestlers presentation, as the black and red colouring, combined with an instantly iconic theme established the importance of this international megastar. With the entrance itself inspiring a "Holy ****" chant. This continued into his main roster run, with the same attention to detail, and even some live performances to accompany his entrances.
Nakamura's heel turn was even greeted with a revamped version of his classic theme, that adds another level to his presentation. His currently low position on the card - and poor ring-attire - is a disappointment, but fans at least had some great times with his epic presentation.
