10 Times WWE Blatantly Ripped Off Their Own Angles

3. Someone Steals The Urn

Applying logic to The Undertaker's character history is akin to psychologically analysing Vince McMahon - it probably cannot be done without stumbling upon endless quirks and contradictions. Back when he was a supernatural 'zombie', 'Taker's power was said to come from an urn Paul Bearer carried.

Then, it didn't, and it certainly doesn't today. Said urn hasn't been seen in years.

That on/off again insinuation of undead energy hasn't stopped several wrestlers from attempting to control 'Taker by stealing the urn and carrying around it like a trophy. Ted DiBiase nicked it in the mid-90s so his client Kama could melt the thing down into a gold chain, and CM Punk boasted that he held sway over 'The Deadman' because he had his little magical pot.

Whilst Punk's angle and match with The Undertaker was definitely an improvement over the Kama stuff, it still didn't explain why 'Taker hadn't needed the urn for years beforehand. Again though, logic and pro wrestling don't often mix well.
