...or not, maybe.

There's an awful lot of bad faith takes that do the rounds from wrestling fans desperate to either a) rise above the vast pool of people daring to attach some critical thought to the supposed storytelling vehicle they pour so much time into or b) pretend that weapons grade WWE comedy actually makes them laugh.

Said views were sky high during Braun Strowman's pre-WrestleMania 35 feud with Saturday Night Live hosts Michael Che and Colin Jost. Week after week, there'd be some lame comedy segment between the three (including one specific wrecking of a car constructed entirely to sell the action figure set of the moment that had already been made), but all of the supposed "mainstream" "publicity" it got due to SNL made the whole thing worthwhile.

Only, it didn't. So did it?

Yes, the New York City staple show made mention of WrestleMania here and there, but you couldn't move in the area for marketing of the 'Show Of Shows' anyway. Strowman specifically barely factored in to it either, and the whole thing was there to service an Andre The Giant Battle Royal scuffle that didn't even make it onto the main card.
