10 Times WWE Booking Failed Braun Strowman

3. Bullying Kevin Owens

Wrestling promotion, stripped back, still boils down to convincingly selling the battle good and evil. Braun Strowman Vs Kevin Owens is what happens when the industry's foremost promoter no longer understands the difference between the traits.

Strowman had won Money In The Bank in 2018, pushing Kevin Owens from a f*cking great height off a ladder in a largely-forgotten spot because WWE couldn't really get a good view of it. Owens tried, briefly, to do something about it, but 'The Monster Among Men' was simply too big and too strong, so that was that.

Only it wasn't, because the babyface with the golden ticket took such glee from smashing sh*t out of the feckless tosspot that had barely bothered him in the first place that he did it over and over again. He beat him up every week on television, he locked him in a bog and pushed it over, he "lost" a cage match chucking 'KO' out of it, yet McMahon probably wondered why those once-loud cheers had gotten quieter.

It all built to a SummerSlam match that Owens neither wanted or needed. Good job too - he was pasted in 1:50 in yet another exhibition of something that made the supposed hero look like the biggest heel.
