...because, in 1999, he had the chance to put it to good use.

Throughout his young WWF career, Kane was a deeply damaged man, having been nearly incinerated in a fire and having had his parents ripped away from him at a tender age. He unleashed years' worth of hate by learning the wrestling ropes and fighting his brother. When that got old, he turned face and joined forces with X-Pac, who tried to coax The Big Red Monster from his social shell. X-Pac told Kane he no longer needed an electrolarynx to speak. Kane's first unaided words, of course, were "Suck it!"

Kane, having previously existed in a state of arrested development, started to experience a delayed adolescence. He was taken with Tori. Unfortunately for him, this being the Attitude Era, Tori was a manipulative shrew only interested in men for her own ends. She exploited Kane in some of the most wooden segments in the sub-soap opera that was the WWF at the time ("KANE! He violated me!" "Arrrgggghhh!") and swerve turned on him to join forces with X-Pac.

Kane was scorned, but now sexually woke. Only, in one of 143 retcons of his character, it actually transpired he had unrequited sexual urgings as a teenager. He was friend-zoned by Katie Vick, which naturally led to Triple H ravaging a dummy dressed up as her corpse.

Necrophilia was only the first level of "The Game".
