10 Times WWE Completely Misunderstood Sexuality

3. Billy, Torrie, Jamie & Nidia

Fresh off mourning the death of her father (and engaging in a psycho-sexual relationship-come-feud with her widowed mother-in-law Dawn Marie), Torrie Wilson escaped the darkness thanks to the light of a full moon.

Billy Gunn's, to be exact, as 'Mr Ass' was back on the scene and clinging on to the last vestiges of his failed singles run four years earlier. The pair were established as an item early on, but a nothing match with Jamie Noble and Nidia dragged them into a bizarre love square that had all the regular misanthropic unpleasantness of a WWE romance gone wrong.

The newly-minted Noble tried to buy a night with Torrie (that presumably involved Nidia), but Wilson's refusals only upped the price he was willing to pay. Torrie would say no, but Noble only got more threatening whilst Tazz inferred on commentary that 'sometimes no means yes'.

With all rape apologists catered to, the storyline took a turn for the absurd when Torrie reluctantly agreed to sleep with Noble if he could beat Gunn in a match. Which he did.

Suddenly, a genuine victim of harrassment was presented like a willing fool, with the following week's edition of Smackdown playing host to a cod-porn movie payoff to the whole sordid mess.

Visiting Noble's hotel room for bucketloads of wine and even more bad WWE comedy, Torrie readied herself for the grim inevitable before Nidia showed up to fornicate first. Gunn made his own save too, rescuing Torrie before a final cut-to returned to all four of them post-coitus.

After forming such bonds, they naturally ended up as allies, showing the oft-forgotten dignity underpinning relentless sexual aggression.
