10 Times WWE Cruelly Teased What We Really Wanted

9. Daniel Bryan Winning The 2015 Royal Rumble

The great thing about WWE is that they never make the same mistake twice. So, after only going and forgetting to add the most over man in the company into the Royal Rumble match in 2014, a decision which derailed the whole event, Vince McMahon knew this year's iteration could not go on without him.

So, sure enough, D-Bry strutted down to the ring at number #10 to the sound of euphoric cheers, fans losing their minds at the confirmation that their favourite boy was in the running to win the big one. Simply put, nobody other than Bryan would do after such a catastrophic event one year prior.

But, WWE loves a good swerve.

Instead of giving fans the underdog story they craved, with Bryan having recently returned from a neck injury that'd kept him out for months, WWE had 'The Leader of the YES Movement' hurled out of the match after just over ten minutes. As you'd expect, the Philadelphia crowd rained down hell on the remainder of the 30-man match. Not even 'The Great One' could keep eventual-winner Roman Reigns from being blasted by those in attendance, and you can't exactly blame them.
