10 Times WWE Deliberately Hurt Its Female Performers

8. Vickie Guerrero, The Butt Of All Jokes

Any wrestling fan remembers the late, great Eddie Guerrero and what he meant not only for the WWE, but for the whole business. Eddie was a passionate man, willing to give anything and everything in the name of performing for the fans. When he died in 2005, it left a hole inside every wrestling fan's heart. It falls on the shoulders of the WWE to take care of Eddie's family, which is why I understand the presence of Vickie Guerrero. As the widow of one of the greatest lifers in the business, Vickie basically has a job for life and will never want for anything for herself and her two daughters. But her role in the weekly programming leaves a lot to be desired. Vickie is positioned as a heel character most of the time, with her trademark high-pitched "Excuse me!" earning heat from any crowd. Most of the time, she is subjected to insulting songs, like this one which the Rock "sang" to her: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTDbdP3uu4Q Even Vickie's tributes to her late husband is not safe from WWE creative: Vickie's version of the Frog Splash is very tastefully called the Hog Splash. And just in case you didn't get the joke, Vickie competed in a pig's pen match with Santina Marella (yes, that's Santino dressed in drag. Poor Santino.) I understand that Vickie Guerrero only fits a certain way in WWE programs, but there is a more creative way for her to be used on-screen than to be the constant target of fat and cougar jokes. Vickie is a mother, a daughter and not to mention the wife of one of wrestling greatest legends: use her properly or don't use her at all.
