10 Times WWE Deliberately Hurt Its Female Performers
6. "Horseface" Lilian Garcia
I will put it on record that I really like Lilian Garcia. Her announcing style is fresh and exciting, and I especially like the way she announced Edge back in the day. That said, Lilian was not spared from the wrath of the testosterone-laced world of the WWE. Who can forget Triple H's apparent dig at Lilian's expense:
"Even Lilian Garcia. If Lilian wants to come back here for one night to the WWE just to horse around, she can do it."
Apparently, there is an inside joke backstage that Lilian Garcia has a 'horseface', which is very, very degrading. Even Ryback publicly mocked Lilian with the same insult. I don't know her, but as far as I'm concerned, she is just trying to make a living in this business and she does her job quite well. The fact that Vince McMahon tolerates this while promoting anti-bullying at schools and press appearances makes me wonder just how much the WWE cares about their female employees.
