10 Times WWE Disrespected Rey Mysterio

9. WrestleMania Title Match Gets Nine Minutes

WWE wants to get as many of its performers as possible on the WrestleMania card. Every WWE superstar wants to work the event and sometimes match length is sacrificed in order to squeeze everyone in. It's just the way things are and midcard matches, which are viewed as 'less important' are usually the first to be trimmed or cut. But you expect your World Heavyweight Title match to get a decent amount of time. After all, this is a major championship and should be a marquee match. WWE obviously didn't feel that way about the WHC match at WrestleMania 22, since it allocated them just nine minutes and nineteen seconds. It was disrespectful Kurt Angle, Randy Orton and especially to Rey Mysterio, who was scheduled to win the match and the title. They had a decent match, sure, but it wasn't the classic that they would have been able to assemble, had they been allocated another five or ten minutes. For comparisons sake, the Women's Championship, The US Title match and Undertaker and Mark Henry's casket match were afforded roughly the same amount of time. Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon and Triple H versus John Cena were both given around twenty minutes each (excluding entrances).
