10 Times WWE Disrespected Stone Cold Steve Austin

7. Continually Making Fun Of His Good Friend Jim Ross

It's no secret that WWE, and Vince McMahon personally, used to absolutely revel in placing their former commentator/Vice President of Talent Relations Jim Ross in awkward or embarrassing situations. Ross rubbed many in the WWE the wrong way because he was overweight, took himself and wrestling seriously and was from the south. One person in the company who did like Jim Ross, and was a very close, personal friend, was Steve Austin. Stone Cold and JR's bond was clear for anyone to see. Remember the vigour with which Ross celebrated Austin's comeback victory over Bischoff at No Way Out 2003? It was almost comical mancrush territory. JR was also the one who would inevitably smooth things over between between Austin and Vince whenever they were at odds. Ross flew to Austin's Texas ranch to talk with the superstar when he walked out on the company in 2002. So Austin can't have been pleased with the ritual humiliations bestowed on his buddy. Least of all the legendarily awful 'Dr. Hiney' segment from the October 24th 2005 Raw. Vince as the eponymous Dr. Hiney performed a mock operation on 'JR', removing several items from his backside while Ross' commentary played on top of it. One of the items removed was a Stone Cold Steve Austin doll with Vince remarking that 'Stone Cold's not gonna help you get your job back, either'. Utterly disrespectful.
