Not only in late 2013, but Big Show had been a thorn in the side of Cody Rhodes at various points throughout his WWE career.

In the months leading up to WrestleMania 28, Rhodes had been embarking on one of the greatest Intercontinental Championship runs in years and was closing in on eight months as champion. After it was teased early on in 2012, Goldust was a logical opponent for Rhodes on the grand stage, but officials apparently had other plans in mind for the second-generation star.

Instead, he was paired with Big Show. The premise of their feud was that Show had never received his rightful "WrestleMania moment" up to that point. That was all fine and dandy, but it came at the expense of Cody Rhodes and his hot title reign. There was no need to cut it short, especially in anticlimactic fashion. The match lasted all of five minutes and ended with a whimper.

Rhodes was able to win the belt back at Extreme Rules, but by then, it was too little, too late. He wasn't the same Superstar from that point forward, and his second stint with the strap was significantly shorter than his first, lasting a lousy three weeks.
