10 Times WWE Got "The Guy" Wrong

From being jeered out of the building at the last three WrestleManias to - somehow - ending up as the heel in a feud with Braun Strowman, there's a litany of evidence to support the notion that Roman isn't quite 'The Guy' yet.
Few can really doubt the quality of his ring work - of which SummerSlam was another timely illustraiton - but it's the poor booking, the repeated fighting against (and usually overcoming) the odds, that has led to fans resoundingly rejecting him as their next hero.
At the same time, his inexorable push shows no signs of abating, and with John Cena set to be his latest opponent at No Mercy next month, there's a decent chance WWE could officially pass him the torch as it prepares for another coronation for 'The Big Dog' at next year's WrestleMania.
