10 Times WWE Got Babyfaces Wrong

There's a sneaky commentary to this one, because it could be argued that every WWE star is Vince McMahon's personal puppet. He pulls the strings, and he's able to put words into their mouths that alters how audiences view them. In 1992, he d*cked around with the established Road Warriors formula.

It drove Hawk to the brink of insanity.

LOD's manager Paul Ellering and his spike-wearing muscle men looked ridiculous when claiming that a ventriloquist dummy called 'Rocco' (originally called 'Freckles') was a source of childish inspiration for the tag-team. Fans were appalled, and Vince's dreams of appealing to young children turned to nightmares.

The gimmick was so awful that Hawk couldn't take it anymore and went deeper into a drug-fuelled depression that'd end the Warriors' first WWF run. Who knows what McMahon was thinking here; he couldn't have picked a worse team to pin Rocco on.
