10 Times WWE Got The Money In The Bank Winner Wrong

1. Brock Lesnar (2019)

Brock Lesnar was a Money in the Bank ace upon winning the briefcase, dancing with the case acting as a boombox.

It was ridiculous(ly entertaining) - but nothing is more ridiculous(ly infuriating) than the manner in which he hoisted WWE's virtuous briefcase for the first and only time.

Entering as a last-minute addition, meaning he did literally f*ck all except for knocking a ladder into a cameraman and sending Mustafa Ali off a second ladder, Brock Lesnar was made the match's winner while Ali - the originally planned victor - was preparing to head through the curtain.

The result wasn't just changed on the day; it was changed at quite literally the last possible second.

Outrage was the main course of emotion shown upon fans hearing of this. Ali had been red-hot since moving from 205 Live to SmackDown, though indeed on 205 Live as well, and was owed a piece of laudable booking for his injury catapulting Kofi Kingston into what was one of the greatest stories WWE has ever told. A Money in the Bank victory was the best fit for Ali. The Royal Rumble was a no-go, realistically, and he was never going to win the WWE or Universal Championship in an outright match, so Money in the Bank was a golden opportunity for WWE to create another Kofi Kingston moment.

Instead?

They relied on the established, oft-detested part-timer.
