10 Times WWE Has Dropped The Ball With Bobby Lashley Since His Return

8. Aligning With Baron Corbin And Drew McIntyre

On paper, a trio consisting of Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre sounds like the cure for insomnia, yet WWE for some reason thought it would be a good idea to lump them together.

As one would probably expect, they sorely lacked chemistry and were merely a minor obstacle for The Shield to overcome upon their return to the ring as a unit.

It was a perfectly fine role for Corbin to be in but not so much Lashley and McIntyre, who would have been much better off doing their own thing. They first joined forces the night after Survivor Series to take out Braun Strowman, and over the next six months or so, they wreaked havoc on Raw side-by-side-by-side and subsequently drove viewers away.

There was nothing exciting about the stable in the slightest and it simply stalled Lashley's hot heel momentum. Worse yet, they were never booked to look strong and lost to The Shield (among other trios) more times than anyone could count.

Their partnership eventually dissolved shortly after April's Superstar Shake-Up, but the damage had been done.
