The drama and all-round mystery surrounding the shocking departure of Bray Wyatt from World Wrestling Entertainment earlier this year is still being discussed and unpicked by wrestling fans today, with the performer himself largely keeping hush on the subject.

However, former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. did offer to shed some light on the series of events that could have ultimately played a major part in the star and character ultimately falling out of favour with the boss. Speaking on The Ringer Wrestling Show, the Hollywood actor revealed that Wyatt's squashing at the hands of Goldberg, and losing of the Universal title in the process, was likely down to the star being "not willing to play ball" and not doing things the way the company wanted at that time.

Whether that means not performing to their standards or simply wanting to head in a different direction creatively is still up for debate. Yet, it remains clear that WWE just weren't willing to double-down on Wyatt as their next top star which eventually led to his widely expected clash with Roman Reigns over the top strap at 'Mania 36 being scrapped too.
