7. The Main Roster Vs NXT...

...When That Still Meant Something. Forget the millions of dollars, the millions of forum posts and Twitter threads dreaming some of this up can't be wrong.

Well, they can be, but they weren't far off the mark when pitching the very best from NXT's golden era against the main roster stars of the day at various points between 2015 and 2018.

When Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens both pushed John Cena beyond his limits on Monday Night Raw whilst simultaneously feuding over the NXT Championship on Wednesday Nights, a new wave of possibilities opened up. This had the potential to be everything the original roster split never was - Owens and Zayn working Cena could be extrapolated to The Four Horsewomen rocking the boat in an ailing Divas Division, Finn Bálor's Demon going nose-to-nipple with The Undertaker and Baron Corbin definitely getting booked for every f*cking show whether we like it or not.

The same metrics could (and probably should) have been applied in the years that followed, not least when former NXT graduates bedded into the main roster so seamlessly that they felt more at home on Raw and SmackDown than back in Full Sail.
