10 Times WWE REJECTED Million Dollar Ideas

6. The Broken Universe

It was clear how little Vince McMahon thought of Matt Hardy's magical world when he scripted Michael Cole to bury WWE's version of it before it even aired.

It's okay for the billionaire to not like all the things he broadcasts, but when he's broadcasting them because of the money they've made elsewhere, it feels enormously counterproductive to be so bullish.

Like Jeff Hardy in Impact's phenomenally successful Final Deletion, Bray Wyatt was rescued from yet another brink when he was dragged into "Woken" Matt's world for the Ultimate Deletion main event of the March 8th edition of Raw. Outside of a few odd promos where Hardy simply laughed and laughed and laughed, this was a first look at how the cash-sh*tting concept would fit in WWE's world.

It was...okay, actually. The hand of the author could be felt as usual, but for a change said scribe was Hardy rather than McMahon. His words came through Cole's pre-match missive, foreshadowing the realistic future of the act no matter how well the production went.
