10 Times WWE REJECTED Million Dollar Ideas

2. The Four Horsewomen Derby

Created almost entirely outside the walls of WWE television beyond a brief Full Sail face off, the war between the four most important women's wrestlers in contemporary company history and their MMA crossover counterparts was neither fought nor teased despite WWE having a golden opportunity shortly before WrestleMania 35.

It was at that time that all eight women were fit and active within the WWE system and on the right sides of the babyface/heel divide (save for Charlotte Flair - which would have fed perfectly into the 'Show Of Shows' triple threat main event), but the company elected not to tap into a well audiences have been wanting to drink from for years.

The Four Horsewomen of WWE and MMA shared a moniker but little else in their respective career paths. Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks and Bayley gradually transformed the North American scene (and future expectations of it) with their transcendent work in NXT, whilst Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke's wildly differing runs in MMA wouldn't matter once the video packages sold the very simplest of stories.
