It’s not really any surprise seeing Kane pop up on this list multiple times. After all he was part of several of the dumbest angles WWE have done. This is certainly not a rib on the Big Red Machine. He is without a doubt one of the greatest wrestling characters of all time. And no matter how bizarre these stories got, he always threw himself at them with everything.

In 2008, Kane began carrying a mysterious sack, while continuously repeating the words, “ is he alive or is he dead?”. This was eventually revealed to be Rey Mysterio’s mask. For some unexplained reason, Kane had apparently tried to kill the Master of the 619.

The two had their feud, which also went through a World Heavyweight Championship Scramble match at Unforgiven that year, but it was hardly blowing the roof off arenas. The confusing narrative only made it harder to invest in.

Come 2010, WWE were in the mood to give this another try. Weirdly enough, the backstory was yet again centered around attempted murder. This time Kane had tried to murder his brother the Undertaker and framed Mysterio for it. That’s right, Rey Mysterio was accused of putting the Undertaker in a vegetative state.

The World Title was also in the mix, as Kane cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to take the belt off Rey. The end result was more or less the same as fans simply waited for this to end so the Undertaker could make his return.
