2. Hulk Hogan Vs The Undertaker

This didn’t work in the early 90s. A decade later this didn’t work in the early 2000s either.

Undertaker and Hulk Hogan are two of the biggest names in all of wrestling. Many would place these two on their Mt. Rushmore of pro wrestling. A chance to see the two titans lock horns should have been something every fan cherished. While the rivalries certainly were heavily anticipated and involved high stakes, the execution was never quite right.

In late 1991, Undertaker became involved in the Hogan-Flair tussle and found himself in a title match against the Hulkster. He won the match thanks to some Flair interference. It hardly felt like a monumental changing of the guards and was reduced to a complete farce when the Deadman simply lost the title back to Hogan 6 days later.

Fast forward to 2002, WWF gave it another go. This time it was the Big Evil going up against Hollywood Hogan. The Undisputed Championship was also up for brags. Once more Undertaker defeated the Immortal One, albeit in a match that featured the worst-Chokeslam-ever. Much like before, it didn't leave any lasting impressions on the audience’s minds. At least not of the desirable kind.

After battling Galactus and pinning Hulk Hogan in the main event of Wrestlemania, I've taken a break from living in fantasy worlds, to focus on writing about them. I'm a comic book geek, a wrestling mark, a break dancer, and a scientist. One of those things may not be true.
