6. Papa Shango - WrestleMania VIII

One of the most infamous botches in WWE history, when Papa Shango forgot to interfere in the finish of the WrestleMania VIII main event!

On that night in 1992, Hulk Hogan fought Sid Justice in what was meant to be Hogan's "farewell" match. In front of the massive crowd, the Hulkster dropped his leg on Sid who miraculously kicked out at two. The plan was for Papa Shango to break up the pinfall and cause a DQ finish, at which point the Ultimate Warrior would run down to make the save. Shango however was late for his queue, and Sid called an audible to kick out, with Harvey Wippleman causing the DQ instead.

Then, Shango ran down to the ring to take part in the planned beatdown of Hogan before Warrior arrived - and the look on his face as he rushed in is truly something to behold. He knew that he was the only one that messed up the finish to the biggest match of the year, and that "oh sh*t" expression and pure panic on his face is something so far away from the intimidating voodoo priest, one can't help but laugh!

Needless to say, the gimmick floundered hard and the character didn't last another year in WWF after this moment.
