Any wrestling storyline hoping to be good requires logic, talent and verbal skills from those involved, and more logic. Logic, logic, logic. What it doesn't need is for the creative team writing it to script a random swerve for the sake of it, lose interest and thus momentum, or prove themselves to be more stupid than Randy Orton claims Kofi Kingston is.

Self-sabotage is a habitual problem for wrestling promotions, and WWE (as the longest running example) are kings of that particular castle.

There are countless cases from company history proving that skewed logic can lead to the ruin of otherwise promising stories and dampen fan enthusiasm fast. This is rarely, if ever, done on purpose; as silly as the 10 entries outlined here are, they didn't happen because wrestling writers wanted them to suck. They happened 'cause those folks believed they were the best plan available.

Some of them shoe-horned in controversy for controversy's sake, and others should've been balled up and tossed into the nearest garbage can before anyone left the latest creative team meeting. That would've saved a lot of heartache...
