What Happened: A near year-long witch hunt to find out who ran over Steve Austin at the 1999 Survivor Series culminated when Mick Foley pointed the finger of blame at lovable midcard act Rikishi. In the end, the big Samoan admitted he did attempt vehicular homicide on Austin, but that he "did it for The Rock" so he could be the WWF's top star.

Why It Was Stupid: Much like many others on this list, it just didn't make much sense, and it was far from a satisfying conclusion to one of the biggest whodunit's in wrestling history. What needed to be a launching pad for a new, vicious heel who could feud with a vengeful Austin, ended up turning a popular, thong-wearing babyface heel.

That ruined Rikishi's goodwill with the audience, and it didn't help that his "I did it for The Rock" explanation was wafer-thin. Creative put another bullet in this one when they revealed that Triple H was the real mastermind, not Rikishi, and ended up teaming the big-assed veteran with Haku for...reasons.
