10 Times WWE Took Away The ONE Thing That Got Wrestlers Over

6. Val Venis

Val Venis (and his big...towel) was in the same boat.

By 2000, the WWF decided to phase out Val's popular porn star character. The problem was that Venis only made an impression between 1998-2000 by playing Brazzers' next top male lead, so imagine the apathy the he turned into a standard boots n' tights worker.

His one-dimensional introduction had been provocative, and Val was good enough on the mic and in-ring to stick around. Like, The Godfather though, he was toast as a pressing concern once the PTC came knocking and McMahon ditched 'Val Venis: Porn Star' in favour of 'Val Venis: Heel Grappler'.

Again like his pimping peer, Venis was placed in Right To Censor and tut-tutted at the fact he used to fool around with Jenna Jameson, whip off the towel and gyrate his hips like some sort of precursor to New Day's Big E.

Removing the porn bit was akin to cutting off Val's head.
