10 Times WWE Tried The Same Failure TWICE

8. The Kayfabe Son

If you're a wrestler and someone in creative pitches that you become Authority Figure A's illegitimate son, punch them in the balls, write your own P45 and run away. It's a recipe for disaster if recent WWE history is anything to go by. You'll either become a comedic afterthought or be accused of killing an icon's comeback.

Avoid it like the plague.

In 2007, WWE were ready to reveal that Mr. Kennedy was Vince McMahon's boy, but Wellness Policy violations got in the way and Hornswoggle got the nod instead. A decade later in 2017, promising ex-NXT man Jason Jordan was also suddenly outed as Kurt Angle's lad, and it actually led to both men sinking in fan estimations, at least for a while.

WWE should sit down and have a right good think the next time they plan some phoney family reveal. It's rarely taken seriously, and it had an adverse affect on everyone involved in the past two examples. Let's not go here again, Vince.
