10 Times WWE Tried The Same Failure TWICE

6. A 'Minis' Division

Wrestling has always had this crude fascination with "freak show" elements. That stretches right back to the medium's carny days, and isn't WWE exclusive, but they're no stranger to promoting a circus-like feel. This isn't always a negative - in fact, variety and showmanship are good things and should be encouraged.

The dreaded 'Minis' are an exception.

In 1997, the WWF began promoting Mexican 'Minis' like El Torito, Tarantula, Mosaic, Nova and the most famous of the lot, Max Mini. Strangely, rather than acknowledging that they were vertically challenged adults, the company presented these guys like children. They'd go one step further with that idea in 2005 when launching the 'Junior's Division'.

Oh yes, f*ck Palmer Cannon's drive to make SmackDown more appeasing to sponsors by laughing at little people. Everything, from the way announcers giggled throughout matches to the play school font used for the division, made a mockery of these dudes again.
