7. The Holly Cousins

According to Bob Holly's autobiography, he and Crash never really socialised when out on the road. Despite being very different people behind the scenes though, they managed to gel successfully on-screen, and the Holly cousin dynamic led to the introduction of Molly Holly in 2000.

The insinuation here was that Hardcore (Bob), the ornery family member, couldn't see the well-meaning Crash as anything but a nuisance or understand the innocence of Molly. The trio were said to be cousins who had grown up together in Mobile, Alabama, but the truth is that they weren't remotely related.

Bruce Prichard let slip another potential plan for the Holly clan on his Something To Wrestle With podcast.

According to Bruce, creative sold Hardcore on Crash as his pesky little brother, not his Elroy Jetson-lookalike cousin. That changed before Crash made his debut in the summer of 1999, and Prichard didn't explain why officials decided against the sibling angle.
