10 Times WWE Was Even Dumber Than WCW

8. No Contest In A Cell

Hell In A Cell was once the ultimate pay-per-view battleground: an epic bloodbath used only to settle main event scores, if some disrupting force did interfere, it never threw the match out.

It is a No Disqualification match. The Undertaker just threw Mankind off the Cell - and through it! - but he then raked his eyes in full view of the referee, and so the ref feared for his safety and threw the match out. See how ridiculous that is?

Welcome to the last two years of your life. Welcome to WWE, everybody.

At Hell In A Cell 2018, WWE overbooked the Braun Strowman Vs. Roman Reigns main event to a catastrophic, brain-frying extent. Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre attempted to interfere on behalf of Strowman, who requested a guaranteed cash-in in advance, and since that trio only existed for the thinnest of reasons to give the Shield something to do, the Shield arrived to even the score. Ziggler found refuge on top of the cage.

Seth Rollins, McIntyre and Dean Ambrose followed. After some light brawling, Ziggler and Rollins quite anticlimactically crawled back down. "And the race down to the floor begins!" Michael Cole roared, as if that's a thing. In the ring, Strowman and Reigns each sold a simple signature move for about five minutes. McIntyre and Ambrose sold a stereo big boot with the same conviction as Rollins and Ziggler's double table high spot. Same difference. Nothing matters.

And then Brock Lesnar arrived, killed Strowman and Reigns - which had no dramatic impact because they were selling the most basic sh*t as if they were already dead - and the match simply ended.

See you tomorrow, idiots! Michael Cole didn't say, but he might as well have.
