Wrestling can sometimes be frustrating, but all that frustration can be beyond worthwhile if it all culminates in one glorious moment of catharsis. All throughout this year, WWE's roster was stacked with hardcore favourites like Christian, Rob Van Dam, Dolph Ziggler and CM Punk, who worked their hearts out every single match they were in against heels like Alberto Del Rio, Chris Jericho, Cesaro, Damien Sandow, Jack Swagger and Ryback.

John Cena and Randy Orton remained a constant presence to draw in the casual audiences, who would eventually become very familiar with the exciting newcomers in The Shield and The Wyatt Family. Those two stables would dominate the upper-mid card, always putting fans on edge, either with the sounds of the military phonetic alphabet spelling the arrival of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose through the crowd, or that distorted screech calling for the eerie arrival of the stoic Bray Wyatt, flanked ominously by his disciples, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper.

This motherload of talent though that helped create what fans refer to as, The Reality Era, ended up taking a back seat though, all to one man. Daniel Bryan burned brighter than any other star on the roster, uniting fans in a movement that had them emotionally hooked in to every show WWE put on. In corporate terms, 2013-14 was very good for business.
