10 Times WWE Wasted Female Talent

6. Serena Deeb

Serena Deeb is best remembered for her time as the sole female member of the Straight Edge Society. Once described on commentary by Matt Striker as the bald Mary Magdalene to CM Punk's Jesus, Deeb was already an established performer before being introduced to the WWE audience.

Stints in OVW and Shimmer allowed her to compete with future Women's Champions such as Beth Pheonix and Awesome Kong whilst honing her skills. Deeb was chosen for her main roster role due to her lack of exposure and eager attitude. After being shaved bald in the middle of the ring, she played the role of audience member-turned-fanatic to perfection.

Unfortunately, her dedication didn't extend to her life outside the ring. Officials and even Punk himself grew frustrated when Deeb was continuously photographed drinking and partying whilst tied to the Straight Edge gimmick. WWE released Deeb after her only televised match on the main roster.

There's no doubt that debuting as a fan immediately put Deeb at a disadvantage in terms of being seen as a credible wrestler, but considering the way WWE handled stars like Santino Marella, Deeb could have been the Straight Edge Society's conquering force in the women's division.
