10 Times WWE Wasted HUGE Teases

9. Somebody Remembers Something About Booker T

I Know What You Did Last Summer was a wildly successful contemporary horror flick that saw a bunch of teenage a*seholes get tormented for getting away with a murder some 12 months after they'd committed it.

WWE's twist on this was to give the actual victim the note.

Booker T had been buried far deeper than six feet beneath the soil when he lost to Triple H at WrestleMania XIX, and was still dithering around in a lousy Raw midcard by November when he received a note that his fans hoped could and would change everything.

Wrapping up a promo with Jon Heidenreich (!) designed with the sole purpose of selling WWE's coffee table book (!!), Booker received a note from a mysterious source saying "I Still Remember". He said he didn't have time for it, and threw it away. Or, carefully placed it slightly to the side of the book so they could get the beauty shot of both.

Everybody got justifiably excited that this was something to do with Goldust - a man known for remembering names, at least, as well as a wrestler associated with the last time T had felt like a big deal. Unfortunately, whomever left the note apparently got amnesia before they could act on it. WWE, like the unknown scribe, just forgot about it.
