On 30 July 2012, Chris Jericho and Christian faced off against Dolph Ziggler and The Miz on Monday Night Raw. The match was set into motion when Jericho attacked Ziggler during ‘The Showoff’s’ fake a Money in the Bank cash-in. Also, Miz defeated Christian winning the Intercontinental Championship at Raw 1000.

Ziggler was backed by Vickie Guerrero in a solid heel run. The only thing more off-putting than his smarmy arrogance, was Vickie’s shrill shouts from ringside. During this run, the last thing that the egotistical heel needed was an embarrassing accident in front of a full arena and captured on film, forever in the WWE archives. It was even more humiliating to an athlete of Ziggler’s calibre that he butchered a simple move.

The Famouser, a move popularised by Attitude Era mainstay Billy Gunn, is a quick-paced, simple finisher. However, on this occasion Zigger overshot a slumped-over Christian. His tailbone grazed Christian’s back before it hit the mat. The botch was made more evident by Ziggler indulging in showboating, stalking his pray with a “Just Bring It” gesture, prior to the spot.
