10 Times WWE Wrestlers Got Burnt To A Crisp
2. The Undertaker (Elimination Chamber - 2010)
Unlike the Jeff Hardy pyro incident, The Undertaker went up in smoke for realsies at Elimination Chamber 2010.
At first, nothing seemed out of place with 'The Deadman's' entrance. Blue lights washed over a darkened arena as fog smoked out the place. Upon closer inspection, though, it was obvious that his signature flames were a bit closer than usual.
Ultimately, the flames' proximity to 'Taker played a huge part in both embarrassing and pissing off the veteran. Before he could take the first slow step down to the ring, fire swallowed 'The Phenom' whole as he struggled to get out of dodge.
The cameras might have panned away, but spectators still saw him break character as he prematurely tossed off his trenchcoat sprinted to the ring.
Sitting down with Steve Austin on The Broken Skull Sessions, 'The American Badass,' explained that he asked the pyrotechnician if the flames were a little too close, but was assured everything would be fine. Of course, that was far from the case, as 'Taker was nearly carbonized.
In addition to thinking about how much he wanted to kill the pyro guy, the undead legend stated he was lucky that his adrenaline was pumping because he had to wrestle the entire match despite the numbing pain. Considering how many times he played with fire, it was only a matter of time before The Undertaker was burned for real.
