10 Times WWE Wrestlers Played Several Characters At Once
1. Mick Foley – Mankind – Cactus Jack – Dude Love
As amazing as Bray Wyatt and The Fiend are and as legendary as Kane’s career has been, there really is no way to top Mick Foley for multiple wrestling personas at the same time; at least not yet.
The Hardcore Legend is of course one of the most famous WWE wrestlers of all time, and the main reason for that, alongside his mad stunts that is, was how well he layered his characters. The masochistic brutality of Cactus Jack, the naïve heart and spirit of Mankind, the loveable persona of Dude Love, somehow Foley maintained them all as distinct characters while still creating a complete package where we got a fair glimpse of each.
And these weren’t just personalities he played on the mic or in segments, their character traits heavily influenced some of his most famous matches. Things like that moment where a naïve Mankind he gets screwed by Vince McMahon and the Rock at Survivor Series 1998, or that maim-fest Cactus Jack has with Triple H at the Royal Rumble 2000 were all possible because of Foley ingeniously incorporating his multiple personas into matches.
Perhaps the most famous showcase of the split nature of his personality came at the Royal Rumble 1998 where Cactus Jack, Mankind, and Dude Love all appeared at the Rumble as separate entrants. Mick Foley is simply the best.
