The 1993 Survivor Series PPV was largely about getting the ball rolling on the Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart feud that would become one of the greatest rivalries of the '90s. Seemingly, Bruce Hart didn't receive the memo.

Bruce was involved in the show as part of the four Hart brothers - along with Bret, Owen and Keith - who battled Shawn Michaels and his Knights. Sure, Bruce and Keith got to see a bit of in-ring action during that contest, but those two Harts were only there to serve as background players in the grand scheme of things.

Owen would be the only Hart eliminated from that match, with him blaming Bret for this, thus setting the first cog in motion for Brother vs. Brother throughout the following year.

For Bruce, he saw this match as his chance to shine and wow WWF higher-ups. Rather than standing quietly in the background, the second-eldest of the 12 Hart siblings tried to take as much shine and spotlight as was possible, making himself a far bigger part of the match than he had any right to be.

The story goes, Bruce was pissed off before, during and after Survivor Series as he felt that he should be the one to start feuding with the Hitman. So instead of solely allowing that Bret and Owen story to breathe, audiences had Bruce Hart trying to insert himself into the action and narrative as much as possible.
