10 Times You Thought Wrestlers Were Finished (& Were DEAD WRONG!)

8. Edge

Edge was initially further up this list, but it reeks of awesomeness to follow on from his tag partner with some Adam Copeland tear-jerking. One could've filled swimming pools with the water pouring from everyone's ducts when Alter Bridge blasted over the speakers and Edge romped out at the 2020 Royal Rumble.

The way Copeland raised his arms to the sky just as Myles Kennedy yelled: "One more chance to chase a dream. Another chance to feel - chance to feel aliiiiiiiiive" was pure poetry. This was one of wrestling's most amazing comebacks. Edge was done, they said. His career was toast, they said.

Screw that, he said.

Nine long years had passed since he wept and said goodbye with 2011's sudden retirement. WWE might've ticked him off with their handling of Judgment Day a few years later, but Edge and the E went together like bread and butter in 2020. His was a glorious return nobody will ever forget.
