10 Times You Thought Wrestlers Were Finished (& Were DEAD WRONG!)

6. The Undertaker

Good lord, The Undertaker's output between WrestleMania 33-Super ShowDown 2019 was painful. He crumbled vs. Roman Reigns, meandered against Rusev and Triple H, struggled vs. D-Generation X in a Saudi Arabian nightmare, then plummeted to new depths vs. Goldberg.

Something had to give, but hopes were hardly high for 'Taker muscling in on Roman Reigns feuding with Drew McIntyre and Shane McMahon heading into Extreme Rules 2019. Then, something magical happened. 'The Deadman' defied his own nickname to burst into life and enter his most entertaining performance since 2016.

In fact, scratch that. This tag was better than 'Taker vs. Shane in HIAC at 'Mania 32. It was better than The Undertaker's matches with Brock Lesnar and The Wyatt Family in 2015. Putting this knackered veteran in a team setting proved to be an inspired move, and he was visibly pumped up to impress come bell time.

McMahon mercifully bowed out to let McIntyre do most of the heavy lifting too, which only improved the match quality further. What an awe-inspiring surprise treat this one was!
