10 TNA Characters You Totally Don't Remember

3. Sangriento

On March 25, 2011, Sin Cara shook the wrestling world (for about a night) when he debuted on Monday Night Raw. On April 19, 2011, a mysterious, masked character known as Sangriento joined TNA. Could they have not have waited at least a few more weeks for their cheap knock-off? Was that too much to ask?

What made things more confusing is that Sangriento was played by Amazing Red, who was crazy talented but underutilized. They didn’t need a bad copy, just give Red a push! Well, management thought putting a mask on him was finally his ticket to the big time. He lasted all of three matches.

After two appearances on Impact, the mysterious and quite awful Sangriento disappeared for two months, and then had his swansong at Destination X that year.

Perhaps he’s hanging out with the original Sin Cara somewhere. Let’s just assume that he is, as putting any more thought into the matter would be a waste of everyone’s time.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
