10 TNA Characters You Totally Don't Remember

4. Wes Brisco

When your father is a well-respected WWE employee for decades, you likely have every leg up in the world to get chance after chance to someday make it into the company. And Wes Brisco absolutely had that advantage.

He spent two years in developmental, but wasn’t impressive enough to garner an extended stay, or a promotion to the main roster. So he was let go, and TNA came calling. They saw something in him. What it was is not quite clear. But he was the first man to win his Gut Check match, and then was positioned as Kurt Angle’s little buddy. He then later turned on the Olympic Gold Medalist to join Aces and Eights, and became buddies with Eric Bischoff’s son Garett. An interesting choice in friends to be sure.

He was basically the biggest jobber in the group, and was there to get beat up by bigger, more talented dudes. Once the biker gang hung up the chaps, creative had nothing else for Brisco.

Currently he’s still trying to make a go of it, but he’s perhaps most well remembered in TNA for being the guy in Aces and Eights with the long blonde hair visible under his mask. It could be worse! Maybe?

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
