Once upon a time, it felt as though TNA had a great tag team division. By the time The Young Bucks finally arrived in the company however, this wasn't the case. Whilst we got a few great matches between the Bucks and the Motor City Machine Guns, Matt and Nick Jackson (known as Generation Me in TNA) didn't set the world alight in the then-second biggest wrestling company in North America.

Which is strange, because in 2016 The Young Bucks are probably the biggest tag team on the planet. They could even be considered the biggest talent outside of the 'major' leagues, revolutionising what it means to be an independent professional wrestler. With bookings all over the world merchandise flying off the table, the Superkick Party doesn't seem to be ending any time soon.

The titles have been piling up too. The Bucks can count two ROH World Tag Team Championships, five IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships, four PWG World Tag Team Championships and a whole lot more on the mantlepiece. They are arguably the most successful tag team in modern pro wrestling, and TNA weren't able to put anything together for them.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
