10 TNA Rejects Doing Pretty Well For Themselves Elsewhere

9. Taeler Hendrix

Taeler Hendrix burst onto the TNA scene way back in 2012 as one of the first featured competitors of the much-maligned 'TNA Gut Check' program. For those who aren't aware, this was a tryout program of sorts that saw wrestlers compete on Impact for a shot at a contract. Hendrix was the first female competitor, coming up short against then-Knockouts Champion Tara (Victoria), but she was given a deal nonetheless.

After working in developmental for a while, Hendrix was reportedly released by TNA after being somewhat body-shamed by Dixie Carter. Reprehensible of course, and the decision was widely criticised in the wider wrestling world.

Rather than wallow in bitterness Hendrix dusted herself off and worked and worked, slowly becoming a more rounded competitor. Success came too, with a featured role on ROH TV as a member of the House of Truth. Hendrix is also a centrepiece competitor in Queens of Combat, where she was crowned the first ever QOC Champion.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
