10 TNA Superstars That Failed To Make An Impact In WWE
5. Low-Ki
When Low Ki made his TNA debut in mid-2002, the hard-hitting warrior made an immediate impact in the fledgling promotion. With his unorthodox style, backed up by memorable stints in Ring of Honor and Zero-1, Low-Ki quickly established himself as one to watch in the increasingly popular X Division.
Following a stop/start run with the company that saw him win both Tag and X Division gold, Low-Ki finally made the jump to WWE in 2008. He appeared in a handful of dark matches during the weekly SmackDown/ECW tapings before heading down to FCW.
The TNA alum was rechristened Kaval and made his WWE TV debut as part of the second season of NXT. Paired up with Michelle McCool and Layla as his "mentors" for the competition, any concerns over the blatant mismatch would soon be realised.
Despite winning the competition, Kaval on NXT was predominantly used as a comedic prop for LayCool. He eventually made his debut on SmackDown in early September and saw his bad luck continue from there.
Kaval was immediately thrown into a losing streak and it took two months of TV time before he scored his first win. It would be the only singles victory of his main roster career. Kaval was gone by the end of the year and returned to TNA in June 2011.
