10 TNA Superstars That Failed To Make An Impact In WWE

6. Lance Hoyt

With an imposing look and a muscular frame, Lance Hoyt had all the tools to make him a star in the wrestling business. If you imagine a slightly shorter version of Big Cass, that's exactly what TNA had on their hands in 2004.

Brought in as Kid Kash's bodyguard, Hoyt - then known as Dallas - held the Tag Titles twice with his smaller ally before Kash departed in 2005. Hoyt went on to a decent run as a solo babyface, producing the memorable "Hoytamania" shirts, while he also enjoyed another tag run, this time with Jimmy Rave and Christie Hemme as the Rock 'n' Rave Infection.

Nevertheless, Hoyt left TNA in 2009 for the greener pastures of WWE, via a short stay in All Japan along the way. Debuting on ECW as Vance Archer, the big man began to rack up a winning streak, with victories over Tommy Dreamer and Goldust.

However, it wouldn't be long before Archer was relegated to mid-card bouts on Superstars and, after ECW ceased in 2010, moved to SmackDown to team with Curt Hawkins as The Gatecrashers. The team lasted less than six months and, after again appearing predominantly on Superstars, Archer was released in November 2010.

Hoyt has since gone on to great success in Japan, teaming with Davey Boy Smith Jr as the Killer Elite Squad.
