9. King Of The Road Match - WCW Uncensored 1995

Dustin Rhodes was wasted during particular periods of his WCW run, being involved in ridiculous matches like the King of the Road against the Blacktop Bully.

For reasons that WCW never really explained, the only way for these two mortal enemies to end a feud was to fight in the back of a transport truck amongst a bunch of... umm ...hay. The goal was to make your way to the front of the truck and honk a horn, for more unexplained reasons.

The production needed for this short match was unbelievable - a helicopter, closed roads, a bunch of other camera trucks. If it had been sold as a cinematic match, we could bite, but the announcers kept implying that this was happening on the roads near the arena RIGHT THEN.

The match was sold as dangerous as hell, but when you couldn't see any other vehicles and when the two men only really moved when the truck went around a corner or curve, it was difficult to see the danger. At one point, Tony Schiavone was reduced to telling the audience that hay can be 'very abrasive to the skin.'

In addition, even though they only had hay to throw at each other, both men bladed, which was a no-no in WCW at the time and ended up getting both of them fired.

How this was supposed to equate to a violent blow-off between two hated enemies will remain a mystery.
