7. Viagra On A Pole - July 31, 2000 Nitro

This is another debacle from the dying days of WCW, with Vince Russo's hand clearly on the wheel.

Shane Douglas and Billy Kidman were in the middle of a several-month feud over Torrie Wilson. Kidman had his shot with her first, including a sex tape that Nitro somehow had access to. Douglas thought he would do the same and also recorded a tryst with Torrie.

Problem being, Douglas had... urm... performance issues, therefore making him 'less of a man' and implying that millions of men who have medical issues of this sort are worthy of being mocked. Thus, the 'Viagra On a Pole Match' was born.

To what end? Did the winner keep the Viagra to use it? Kidman apparently didn't need it, and if Douglas won it would help him with his bedroom issues. Were you supposed to force your opponent to take the pills? The rules were never clearly laid out.

Crash TV, bro.

The planned ending of the match was for Douglas to hit Kidman in the face with the old-timey looking medicine bottle, forcing pills into his mouth. Before that could happen the bottle broke, which Douglas picked up. This prompted the ref to disqualify Douglas even though you were allowed to use the bottle on your opponent, and compelling Wilson to make Kidman 'eat' Viagra by gently bumping his head off the canvas.

Confused? So were the announcers, who spent most of the match making poor sexual innuendos.
